"A moment is when the brother in law jumps on the table and starts singing a song during the reception. That's a moment, if you can recreate something, then it's not a moment. Good moments are fleeting. Good moments are one-of-a-kind. Once they're gone, they're gone."
Which is why anticipating the moment is so crucial.
As you can see in my galleries I obviously take posed photos, but because I take almost 1,000 photos for each wedding I capture those "moments" also. I am not limited to taking 250 photos, I can take as many as I want. It would be impossible to take 1,000 posed photos, it would bore me and the bride and groom.
Sometimes when I pose the groom with the lads, they get carried away and lift him up on their shoulders or fall on top of him. These are the shots I like to capture. With every wedding the bride has said to me "I love that photo, I didn't see you take it."
With the photo on this page, I had taken the typical pose of the couple smiling and drinking the champagne. I then ran round to the drivers side and sneaked onto the seat. I moved the mirror and while they were not looking I took this photo in the mirror.
That is why when you book me you will have the best of both worlds, traditional photos and candid "moments" captured.
